What we collect, why, and how PoshRocket itself handles data on your computer.
Last updated: August 2026
PoshRocket ("we," "our," "us") makes and sells the PoshRocket Scheduler application for Windows. This policy covers two separate things people sometimes lump together, so we've kept them distinct throughout this page:
In short: the website collects the minimum needed to respond to you and process a purchase. The application itself does not phone home, does not collect telemetry, and does not transmit your scripts, job configuration, or run history anywhere — that data stays on your computer.
When you submit the contact form, we collect the name, email address, topic, and message you provide. This is used solely to respond to your inquiry. Form submissions are processed by Netlify Forms and are visible to us in our Netlify dashboard.
Like most websites, our hosting provider (Netlify) automatically logs standard technical information for security and reliability purposes — such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested. We do not run additional analytics or advertising trackers on this site beyond what Netlify provides by default.
PoshRocket is a locally-installed Windows application and Windows Service. It is designed to run entirely on your own machine:
%ProgramData%\PoshRocket\.Because your scripts run with the privileges of the account executing them (including, if run via the Windows Service, elevated/system-level access), you should treat the contents of your own scripts as your responsibility — PoshRocket schedules and executes them, but does not inspect, validate, or transmit their contents.
Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our payment processor and merchant of record. We do not directly collect or store your payment card details — that information is handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy under their own privacy policy and security practices. We receive confirmation of your purchase (such as your email address and order details) in order to deliver your license and provide support.
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:
Contact form submissions are retained as long as needed to address your inquiry and for a reasonable period afterward for our records. Purchase records are retained as required for accounting, tax, and license-support purposes. Data stored by the PoshRocket application on your own computer is retained until you delete it yourself (including via the uninstaller's option to remove job data).
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you (such as contact form submissions or purchase records tied to your email) by reaching out using the contact details below. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable law (for example, GDPR in the EU/UK or CCPA in California); we'll do our best to honor requests consistent with those laws.
PoshRocket is a system administration tool intended for general audiences managing Windows computers, not specifically directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
